In the course of the renovation of the Kaiserschleuse on the outer flood gate, which was completed a year ago, a lock gate has been converted to fit the new design. The success of the conversion has led to other gates being converted. The reserve gate has been moved to Kaiserdock 1 of the Lloyd shipyard and towed from its berth to the shipyard with the help of a floating crane and two tugs. The work on the reserve gate was recently completed.
