Oldenburg, 4th<\/span>\u00a0May 2021 | From now on, sea and inland waterway vessels will benefit from a new, powerful turning facility on the Hunte shipping route near Oldenburg. The new turning point has a diameter of 165 meters. That is 1.5 times the maximum length of a ship that can operate on the Hunte.<\/p>\n

Previously, ships handling cargo in the Osthafen or in the city area of Oldenburg sometimes had to perform reverse maneuvers or wait for bridges to open, they can now turn around in front of the railway bridge and then start their journey towards the Weser.<\/p>\n
