Firstly, \u201cMSC Michel Cappellini\u201d, the largest container ship in the world with up to 24,346 containers, was officially christened at the Stromkaje Terminal. Secondly, S\u00d8ren Toft (CEO of MSC), Kai St\u00fchrenberg (State Councillor to the Senator for Economics, Ports and Transformation) and bremenports Managing Director Robert Howe signed a memorandum of understanding that sends an important signal for the avoidance of CO2 emissions in the port. The event was described as follows: \u201cThe parties agree to cooperate with regard to the use of shore-side electricity for MSC container ships docking in the Port of Bremerhaven.
