At the same time, it was agreed that financial flows should be channelled in line with climate protection goals. But will this suffice? Indeed, global warming is on the rise \u2013 and this involves weather extremes such as floods, heatwaves and droughts. Against this background, figures published by the EU Commission are shocking, showing that just ten countries are responsible for two-thirds of CO2 emissions worldwide. In Europe, at least, there is an ever-increasing number of companies that are investing in climate protection \u2013 and in Germany the sums invested are
