CUXHAVEN. <\/strong>The Seamen\u2019s Mission Cuxhaven and the St.-Petri-Parish held a \u201cSunday for Sailors\u201d in the St. Petri Church on 2 March. The event honouring mariners took place for the 32nd time. \u201cSailors often work under the most adverse conditions \u2013 despite heavy storms, long separations from their families, sometimes challenging working conditions on the high seas, armed conflicts and the danger of piracy,\u201d emphasised Martin Struwe, deacon at the Seamen\u2019s Mission Cuxhaven.
