Over the past 20 years, a total of 15 port locations have been expanded, repaired and maintained at a cost of more than 1.5 billion euros. Investment in Lower Saxony\u2019s seaports increased from 2.9 million euros in the first year, 2005, to 117.6 million euros in 2024. \u201cStanding still has never been an option for us, as the importance of Lower Saxony\u2019s seaports has soared over the years,\u201d said NPorts managing director Holger Banik at the annual media conference of Lower Saxony\u2019s seaports in Oldenburg in March.
