The Port of Emden as a hub for the largest NATO exercise of the year:
Eleven nations are participating in Operation \u201cSteadfast Dart 26\u201d with around 10,000 soldiers who are currently arriving in Germany. A significant part of the logistics for this large-scale exercise is being handled via the Port of Emden. As early as last week, various military vehicles of an Italian unit rolled off a RoRo vessel onto the Ems quay\u2014effectively supported by the logistics services of the Emden port industry.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
\u201cSteadfast Dart 26\u201d is designed to train the rapid deployment of troops and materiel within NATO territory, thereby demonstrating the Alliance\u2019s defensive capability against potential attacks.<\/p>\n
