The manager succeeded Michael Behrendt, who, according to the Hamburg-based container shipping company, is currently unable to perform his duties as Chairman for health reasons. However, Behrendt will remain a full member of the supervisory body. \u2018This decision does not affect the extraordinary services rendered by Michael Behrendt, whose return to the chairmanship of the Supervisory Board is expressly desired by all members once he has made a full recovery,\u2019 Hapag-Lloyd announced.
