WILHELMSHAVEN<\/strong> Grant Hendrik Tonne (centre), Lower Saxony\u2019s Minister for Economic Affairs, Transport and Construction, visited Jade-Dienst GmbH in early July as part of an event organised by the Wilhelmshaven branch of the SPD. The two Jade-Dienst managing directors, Torsten Meinke (left) and Jan F. Stein (right), took the opportunity to provide a first-hand insight into the challenges and potential of the port location and to highlight the importance of efficient maritime infrastructure for the region\u2019s economic development. During the port call of the offshore supply vessel \u2018Acta Auriga\u2019, the two were also able to clearly demonstrate the port\u2019s relevance to the offshore wind industry. Since the beginning of July, Jade-Dienst GmbH has been handling, on behalf of Vattenfall, the loading and storage of spare parts and supplies for the operation of the DanTysk and Sandbank offshore wind farms at the site.
