In November 2026, Volkswagen, Deutsche Telekom, the Finnish technology company Unikie and the Bremen Institute for Production and Logistics at the University of Bremen (BIBA) successfully completed the \u2018AutoLog\u2019 innovation project, which was funded by the Federal Ministry of Transport. The Emder Hafenf\u00f6rderungsgesellschaft regards the project as \u201ca strong signal\u201d, because new technologies for vehicle logistics were tested right where logistics take place on a daily basis \u2013 in the port. The findings from Emden are now being incorporated into the further development of automated logistics processes to make operations at terminals and on factory premises more flexible, safer and more sustainable.
