All eyes on the port of the future

BREMEN/BREMERHAVEN. “bremenports is still on track with its expansion plans,” stated Robert Howe at the end of 2022, summarising the past year. At the time, the workforce comprised 401 employees and 33 apprentices. Further growth is planned in 2023. Moreover, the Senate passed an ambitious future programme in 2022, known as the “Port Development Concept 2035”. Howe continued: “The goals that have been set will have a huge impact on transforming the port over the coming years. Ports will have to assume a more businesslike, sustainable, digital and climate-neutral approach. After all, tomorrow’s projects are more important than today’s figures.”
