WILHELMSHAVEN. The Wasserstraßen- und Schifffahrtsamt (WSA) Weser-Jade-Nordsee announced in March the successful completion of the major refurbishment and conversion of the sliding gate at the Wilhelmshaven sea lock.
BLG joins UN Global Compact Network Germany

BREMEN. A member of the UN Global Compact Network Germany since January, BLG LOGISTICS is, by own account, “again setting an example of responsible entrepreneurship”. The UN GCD is the world’s largest initiative for sustainable corporate management, offering companies support in the areas of environment, social, governance and SDG integration. The BLG Board also appointed Yvonne Bonventre (Head of Sustainability) as Human Rights Officer in “direct response to the Act on Corporate Due Diligence Obligations in Supply Chains”.

New multi-purpose terminal planned for JadeWeserPort
WILHELMSHAVEN. Germany’s only deep-water port, JadeWeserPort, is set to be expanded with a new terminal. “It will be a multi-purpose terminal,” announced NPorts Managing Director Holger Banik at a press conference in March.
