From Berne to the Caribbean
BERNE The Fassmer shipyard has recently completed four new lifeboats for its client Princess Cruises, a subsidiary of the Carnival Corporation, and shipped them from Hamburg to the Caribbean on 14 October.
New quay 66 completed

BREMERHAVEN. After only eighteen months of construction work, the new quay 66 was officially opened in January. During the ceremony, Dr Claudia Schilling, Bremen Senator for Science and Ports, praised the excellent collaboration between the port management company bremenports and the TAGU/Züblin consortium: “Everything was spot on. There were no delays, from start to finish. At the same time, the costs remained within budget”. This was 17.7 million euros.

New plantings for the floodplain forest in Brake
BRAKE In autumn 2026, NPorts continued the planting of a compensation area in Brake. In addition to the plantings carried out in the spring, a floodplain forest comprising 117 trees and shrubs is being developed.
