BERNE The Fassmer shipyard has recently completed four new lifeboats for its client Princess Cruises, a subsidiary of the Carnival Corporation, and shipped them from Hamburg to the Caribbean on 14 October.
Seaports shines with spectacular views

Oldenburg. Seaports of Niedersachsen has used a modern design for its new, completely revised homepage since March. On its homepage at www.seaports.de, Seaports offers exciting content and useful information as well as spectacular views – such as in the form of virtual 360° tours of the seaports in Brake, Cuxhaven, Emden, Leer, Nordenham, Oldenburg, Stade, Wilhelmshaven and (as shown here) Papenburg. This was the beginning of the digitisation strategy announced by André Heim, CEO of Seaports of Niedersachsen.

New plantings for the floodplain forest in Brake
BRAKE In autumn 2026, NPorts continued the planting of a compensation area in Brake. In addition to the plantings carried out in the spring, a floodplain forest comprising 117 trees and shrubs is being developed.
