HAMBURG In early October 2026, WISTA Germany and the Verband Frauen zur See presented their joint Best Practice Guide, “Recruitment and Integration of Women on Board”, in Hamburg. Through this publication, the partners aim to support other companies in creating a working environment in which women can work on an equal footing, develop their careers and take on responsibility. The guide was developed by an interdisciplinary group of authors comprising qualified specialists and managers from various sectors of the maritime industry. It combines professional experience with concrete recommendations for action and offers practical guidance to shipping companies, HR managers, executives and other stakeholders in the shipping sector.
