TRACK RENEWAL AT IMSUMER DIKE

24.06.2021

BREMEN. Heavy equipment in use: Extensive work will be carried out on the tracks at the entrance to the Imsumer Deich port station in the coming weeks. As part of the maintenance work, the northern turnout head of the old Imsumer Deich setting group will be renewed. In the process, a total of seven points will be replaced with new ones after 26 years of operation. The points were pre-assembled on a nearby track in the past two weeks. Sufficient storage areas are available in the immediate vicinity of the construction site for the logistics of pre-assembly, ground management and installation. The extensive work involved in installing the switches is being used to renew a 250-meter feeder track at the same time.
