Electrification commissioned for JadeWeserPort port railway

WILHELMSHAVEN, January 26, 2022.

Rail Power Systems of Munich was commissioned today with the planning and construction of the four-kilometre feeder line electrification and the 16-track pre-routing group at JadeWeserPort Wilhelmshaven. The construction work for the approx. EUR 7 million expansion of the infrastructure between the “Oelweiche” junction and the port will begin mid-year with completion planned for the timetable change in December 2022 and coincident with the Deutsche Bahn electrification of the Oldenburg – Wilhelmshaven main line. Rail Power Systems is a general contractor for rail infrastructure and a leading international provider of rail electrification and power supply ¬¬systems. It is a subsidiary of Tianjin Keyvia Electric Co., Ltd based in Tianjin, China, and was awarded the tender against other bidders.
