WILHELMSHAVEN. Mosolf Port Logistics & Services is using rail transport for the first time in Wilhelmshaven to move imported cars onwards. At the Nordfrost seaport terminal, 200 vehicles from the Chinese manufacturer BYD were loaded at the end of May and transported to a destination within Germany, where they are to be delivered as fleet vehicles. Further rail shipments are already being planned and are set to take place regularly in future. According to branch manager Kai Wenhold, the company aims to load up to two trains per week where possible. At the same time, Mosolf is working on plans for its own railway sidings at Geniusbank.
