BREMERHAVEN. Together with Bremen’s Senator for Economic Affairs, Ports and Transformation, Kristina Vogt, BLG CEO Matthias Magnor and Axel Krichel, member of the Executive Board and COO of the BLG Group, officially inaugurated the new BLG Südhafen “Roter Sand” site in Bremerhaven at the end of May 2026. Covering an area of around 60,000 square metres, the site features a modern infrastructure for the handling and technical processing of heavy lift cargo and complex project cargo. Four halls in Bremerhaven are available for technical work directly on the quay. At the heart of the new site is Hall 14, equipped with an overhead crane and offering the facility to assemble large components directly at the water’s edge. In addition, two berths with a total quay length of 600 metres provide space for deep-sea Ro-Ro carriers, whilst eleven new high bollards ensure the secure mooring of large vessels.
