BREMEN From 21 September, the level crossing on Ludwig-Plate-Straße will undergo extensive renovation. The works are expected to last until 30 October. During this period, Ludwig-Plate-Straße will be closed to private motorised traffic in the vicinity of the level crossing. The reason for this measure is urgently required work on the track and road infrastructure. The tracks there will be renewed in stages so that rail services can continue during the construction phase. Subsequently, the road surface in the adjacent area will be adjusted and resurfaced. The refurbishment of the level crossing is part of the necessary maintenance of the port railway infrastructure. A diversion will be in place for motor traffic for the duration of the construction work. Vehicles weighing up to 2.8 tonnes can take an alternative route via Gustav-Böhrnsen-Straße or Louis-Krages-Straße and Südweststraße. For lorries weighing over 2.8 tonnes and heavy goods vehicles, the diversion runs via Louis-Krages-Straße, Südweststraße, Beim Industriehafen and Stapelfeldstraße.
