€ 82.5 million for infrastructure projects

17.04.2026

CUXHAVEN. This year, NPorts is investing a total of €82.5 million in various infrastructure projects in Cuxhaven and Stade. A key focus of these measures is the construction of berths 5–7 in Cuxhaven. In addition, to further improve Cuxhaven’s infrastructure links, plans are in place to build a new heavy-duty bridge, which will connect the B73 federal road with the industrial areas in the port, as well as with the Siemens Gamesa factory premisis. Extensive refurbishment work is also planned for the ‘Alte Liebe’ in Cuxhaven. At the Stade site, the expansion of the North Harbour will create additional capacity for the handling of bulk and loose cargo. Plans include the construction of a new quay wall approximately 825 metres long and the creation of around 24 hectares of handling and storage space.
