BREMEN. The successful bremenports sustainability congress ENVOCONNECT is entering its 3rd year and will take place for the first time in Bremen on 3rd and 4th September 2025. The venue is the Energieieleitzentrale, i.e the Energy Control Centre in Bremen, which combines port flair and innovation. This event has previously been held twice in Bremerhaven. The first day of this year’s ENVOCONNECT will be under the theme of “Strategy and Innovations in Reality”, while the second day will be focussing on “Mankind and Change”. Participants will experience a varied programme, from keynote speakers, examples of best practice to in-depth panel debates. “Sustainability must be and is understood today as an integral part of business models and decisions on and around the quays. It is no longer a case of isolated measures or pure marketing, rather it is the interplay of many parties. The need for action in this area is on the minds of everyone in the port and logistics sector,” emphasised Robert Howe (centre), bremenports Managing Director.

EMDEN/DÖRPEN. Linked by the River Ems and the Dortmund-Ems Canal, the ports of Emden and Dörpen have been working together for years. Now, the port dialogue launched in February on the initiative of Hartmut Moorkamp (CDU), a member of the Emsland regional parliament, is set to gather further momentum.
HAMBURG. Seaports of Niedersachsen once again presented itself at the joint stand of the State of Lower Saxony at WindEnergy in Hamburg last week. Numerous company representatives from Lower Saxony’s port locations used the trade fair to position themselves as key logistics partners for the energy transition.

EMDEN / DÜSSELDORF Ems Ports Agency and Stevedoring Beteiligungs GmbH & Co. KG (epas) was awarded the ‘Großer Preis des Mittelstandes’ (Grand Prize for Medium-Sized Enterprises) 2026 on 12 September.
