Refurbished lock gate returns
WILHELMSHAVEN. The Wasserstraßen- und Schifffahrtsamt (WSA) Weser-Jade-Nordsee announced in March the successful completion of the major refurbishment and conversion of the sliding gate at the Wilhelmshaven sea lock.

OSNABRÜCK/DUBAI Hellmann Worldwide Logistics and Samvardhana Motherson International Limited signed a joint venture agreement in March to establish a globally focused automotive logistics company. The joint venture aims to combine the strengths of both partners – Hellmann’s global network and logistics expertise on the one hand, and Motherson’s comprehensive industry knowledge across automotive supply chains on the other. The joint venture is scheduled to commence operations in June 2026.

WILHELMSHAVEN. The Wilhelmshaven site is set to become even more attractive to the maritime industry. This is because NPorts plans to invest a total of 25 million euros this year alone.
WILHELMSHAVEN. Germany’s only deep-water port, JadeWeserPort, is set to be expanded with a new terminal. “It will be a multi-purpose terminal,” announced NPorts Managing Director Holger Banik at a press conference in March.

BREMERHAVEN. At the cruise terminal on Bremerhaven’s Columbuskaje, construction work on an underground cable trench is in full swing. In a construction pit around 100 metres long on the quay, the first sections of the future cable duct have already been installed.
