JadeWeserPort to receive additional service

20.08.2026

HAMBURG/WILHELMSHAVEN In a customer notice issued in August, Hapag-Lloyd announced that it would be relocating the port of departure for the East Med Express (EMX) from Hamburg to Wilhelmshaven (CTW). The first call at Wilhelmshaven is scheduled for 6 September, with the container ship ‘Colombine Maersk’. Holger Banik, Managing Director of the JWP companies and of NPorts, commented: “We in Wilhelmshaven warmly welcome every new service. We are delighted that this hub for the national and international logistics sector, with its links to ports in Greece and Turkey, is able to offer a new service to and from JadeWeserPort.” The EMX is a weekly joint service operated by several shipping lines and comprising five vessels with capacities ranging from 6,600 to 8,500 TEU. In Germany, apart from Wilhelmshaven, the service also calls at Bremerhaven.
