WILHELMSHAVEN. The Wasserstraßen- und Schifffahrtsamt (WSA) Weser-Jade-Nordsee announced in March the successful completion of the major refurbishment and conversion of the sliding gate at the Wilhelmshaven sea lock.
Markus Wegman appointed COO

BREMEN. Röhlig USA has appointed Markus Wegmann as the company’s new COO. The 47-year-old will report to CEO Rafael Ueltschi. Wegmann initially worked in Switzerland before spending the past ten years in the USA as an operator, operations manager, branch manager, country head of operations and regional vice president. At Röhlig, he is now responsible for all products (sea, air, land, project, brokerage and contract logistics) as well as operational efficiency and processes.

New multi-purpose terminal planned for JadeWeserPort
WILHELMSHAVEN. Germany’s only deep-water port, JadeWeserPort, is set to be expanded with a new terminal. “It will be a multi-purpose terminal,” announced NPorts Managing Director Holger Banik at a press conference in March.
