NPorts: Achieving first place with the BIM method

03.04.2025

NORDERNEY. In February, NPorts was awarded first place in the “Civil Engineering” category of the “Lower Saxony BIM Cluster Awards” for the renovation of the south pier at Ferry Terminal 1 in Norderney. The abbreviation BIM stands for Building Information Modeling and thus for a digital methodology that the port company used to renovate the structure. According to NPorts, this methodology has made the entire life cycle of the structure more efficient and transparent. The award ceremony took place as part of the 11th Oldenburg BIM Day at the Oldenburg campus of Jade University.
