Refurbished lock gate returns
WILHELMSHAVEN. The Wasserstraßen- und Schifffahrtsamt (WSA) Weser-Jade-Nordsee announced in March the successful completion of the major refurbishment and conversion of the sliding gate at the Wilhelmshaven sea lock.
Seaport of Leer: Modernization completed

Leer, January 2022 | From now on, ships and boats can reach the seaport of Leer again without any restrictions. The modernization of the sea lock completed.
The stability of the 192-meter-long and 26-meter-wide sealock has been optimized.Various areas of the #industrialport were dredged to a depth of 6 meters so that seagoing ships in particular can reach the handling companies better. Around 15,000 cubic meters of silt came together – 14 barge loads.

New multi-purpose terminal planned for JadeWeserPort
WILHELMSHAVEN. Germany’s only deep-water port, JadeWeserPort, is set to be expanded with a new terminal. “It will be a multi-purpose terminal,” announced NPorts Managing Director Holger Banik at a press conference in March.
