BLG and EUROGATE have pooled their expertise in Bremerhaven and are collaborating on projects for wind power components used in onshore and offshore projects – now under the brand name Eco Power Port. At the same time, BLG is further expanding its established transshipment business for onshore wind turbines at Neustädter Hafen.
Hydrogen plays a key role in the energy transition as an energy source, as a storage medium and as a replacement for fossil fuels, which is why Robert Habeck, the Federal Minister for Economic Affairs, and several state ministers for economic affairs issued grants for 23 extraordinary, forward-looking hydrogen projects in Germany in July. An inland waterway shuttle – a new transport option for heavy-load and project cargo organised by the Am Zehnhoff-Söns Group in cooperation with BLG LOGISTICS and a company from the construction machinery industry – has been running regularly between the ports of Bremen and the inland areas of western Germany since March.
