WILHELMSHAVEN. The Wasserstraßen- und Schifffahrtsamt (WSA) Weser-Jade-Nordsee announced in March the successful completion of the major refurbishment and conversion of the sliding gate at the Wilhelmshaven sea lock.

WILHELMSHAVEN. When the terminal operators HHLA and EUROGATE explore possibilities for closer cooperation, JadeWeserPort should not be missing from their considerations. This is certainly what the “Wilhelmshavener Hafenwirtschafts-Vereinigung” (WHV) is asking for. In doing so, the association points out that JadeWeserPort is the only German port that fulfils the criterion of a deep-water port. And this competitive advantage over western ports should be used in the interests of Germany as a seaport location. After all, what is concerned here according to the WHV, “ is the cooperation between the North German container ports”.

New multi-purpose terminal planned for JadeWeserPort
WILHELMSHAVEN. Germany’s only deep-water port, JadeWeserPort, is set to be expanded with a new terminal. “It will be a multi-purpose terminal,” announced NPorts Managing Director Holger Banik at a press conference in March.
