BREMEN / BOGOTÁ. With effect from 26 October 2026, the Leschaco Group has appointed Carlos Andrés Sáenz Viera as Managing Director of Leschaco Colombia. Sáenz Viera has extensive management experience in the logistics and transport sector, with expertise in country management, sales strategy, business development and operational optimisation. Most recently, he served as Country Manager at ANDES Integración Logística, where he was responsible for the company’s business operations in Colombia. Since the acquisition of Coltrans S.A.S. in December 2022 – which has since been renamed Leschaco Colombia S.A.S. – Leschaco has had a direct presence in Colombia, where it offers international logistics solutions for air, sea, land and multimodal transport.

BREMERHAVEN. At the end of September 2026, Germanys Minister of Defence Boris Pistorius, Bremen’s Mayor Andreas Bovenschulte and Matthias Magnor, CEO of the BLG Logistics Group, had already signed a corresponding ‘Letter of Intent’.
BREMEN. The port and logistics sector in the state of Bremen is cautiously optimistic about 2026: 46 per cent of companies expect turnover to rise.
EMDEN. For two years, trials were carried out at the seaport of Emden to investigate how vehicles can move autonomously within logistics areas and be safely integrated into existing processes.

BERNE The Fassmer shipyard has recently completed four new lifeboats for its client Princess Cruises, a subsidiary of the Carnival Corporation, and shipped them from Hamburg to the Caribbean on 14 October.
