Port cuts CO2 emissions by 43 %

EMDEN. About two years ago, NPorts implemented an innovative lighting concept for railway tracks in the port of Emden. By coupling digital and sensor technology, emissions were cut by 43 per cent. This is shown in the final report presented in May. „We‘ve managed to reduce the CO2 footprint and save energy costs at the same time,“ said Holger Banik, managing director of NPorts. Further projects for intelligent lighting are currently being planned and implemented.
