Northwest German Business Community Calls for Preservation of the Bremen–Frankfurt Flight Connection

29.05.2026

Oldenburg. The planned discontinuation of the flight connection between Bremen and Frankfurt as of July 1, 2026, is causing major concern within the business community of northwest Germany. The Frankfurt hub provides important connections to global markets, partners, investors, and customers. The loss of this route would affect numerous sectors, including industry, logistics, the maritime economy, aerospace, science, research, as well as the trade fair and tourism industries. Already, 20 chambers of industry and commerce, business associations, and institutions from Bremen and Lower Saxony have joined together in a joint appeal to preserve the connection. Companies in the region are invited to support the petition as well and thereby send a strong collective signal in support of the Northwest economic region. Participation is possible at: https://veranstaltung.ihk-oldenburg.de/flugverbindungbremenfrankfurterhalten Only the company name and company location will be published. All other information will be treated confidentially. Preserve the Bremen–Frankfurt flight connection!
